Here’s how to do it

Explain to your child that every plant has different parts such as: seeds, roots, stems, leaves, flowers and fruit. Talk about what each and why each part is important to the plant. On paper list the and, under each part, list examples. For instance, under “leaves” you’d write “lettuce” and “spinach.” From this list, come up with a shopping list of edible plant parts. Mix the plant parts together in a salad and enjoy!
